I’m generally not one to cry during movies. Not because I’m too machismo for my own good or anything like that (far from it). No, my experience in the repression of this form of sentiment comes from a very profoundly effective moment in my life where I was made to feel that I should no longer cry.

I know of the man. You know of the man. It’s Yutaka Nakamura, people. He’s had his hands in virtually everything anime.
Memory is a fickle thing. And while I enjoyed my time with Gamers well and good, there wasn’t that many moments that stuck out to me as something I could point at and say “That’s a highlight of the year, right there!”. I still don’t think I can say that about any of them now.
