Nothing new. Everyone probably noticed it already (I know I did). And I’m not bringing it up here to make the claim that the anime OP is a blatant rip-off or anything–though I do think the similarities are strikingly curious. No, there seems to be plenty of (awesome) differences between them. It’s just such a neat little and very appropriate musical call back/tribute rooted inside an incredibly lovely melody that I think it bears repeating. Because awesomeness.
Regardless of any overt resemblance that may or may not be liable to some kind of scrutiny though, they are both really fun, wonderfully pleasant and fantastically upbeat pieces of music that bring me great joy.
But I think I prefer SHINING DAYS.
